Hey people!

Recently there were many discrimination and persecution against the Pope for all the sexual scandals that had happened many years ago.. It's really bad that such things are happening in the Catholic church and it's even worst when the priests that are supposed to guide us, are the doers of these sexual activities. But like what Father Paul States said yesterday, it's not only in the Catholic Church that things like this are happening, it's happening in other places too. It's just the media playing it up.

So we must not lose faith in the Church and the Pope. We're a Church of sinners and that's what Jesus is here for, isn't it?

3) The Teen Timeline is back in June 2010! Join the BibleGeek (Mark Harts) as he brings you through the seemingly-boring-and-dunno-whats-going-on-and-dunno-what-has-it-got-to-do-with-my-life Bible! In short, humorous and practical video sessions, it's a great way to learn more about God and yourself and to know more friends. The first session is free for all, so register now and wait no longer!

4) Countdown to WYD Madrid 11 begins! Registration for SFA group starts in June 2010. Check this site out: www.madridwyd2011.com.

5) Cell Group. Register your interest (Living in God 2010 from ages 14 - 20), here or Little Rock Scripture Studies - Acts of the Apostles for Young Adults (21 years to 30 years old) here! If you have registered but no one has contacted you yet, please call Moses @ 9827 6674.

6) Intercessories - Once every 2 weeks, a group of young adults and youths will come together to pray for the needs of everyone in the parish. If you have any petitions, please send them back to our email. This week we pray for the Pope, the victims and our Church of sinners.

Our Birthday Bash!

Hey people!

Last Saturday, our Office celebrated our 3rd birthday with a big bash! As we grow, we continue to praise and thank God for giving us this growth. And also, we want to thank our previous SDs for their guidance; especially to Father David who kicked start the whole youth ministry; Father Michal who helped stirred us to growing in community; Father Lau for his quiet and generous support and Father Gerardwho is guiding us now.

Also, on behalf of the youths in the ministries, I would like to thank all the youth leaders and ex-youth leaders (Alicia, Alycia, Gen, Julia, Michael, Terence Tay, Terrence Giam, Lilian, Hilary, Gabriel Goh, Delphine, Moses, Esther, Gilbert, Nimmi, Gregory, Jasper, Jeremy and Patricia) for your continuous and unselfish love and servanthood to all of the youths in the parish! We love you all! To the youths in the ministries, the youth leaders would like to thank you for your enthusiasm, unselfish love in giving, determination and energy. It's because of you that we continue to serve. To see you growing in God's love everyday is the best form of support for us.

To all the supportive parents and adults out there, we thank you for your continuous support. And, not forgetting Mother Mary, who has been interceding and praying for us and with us. Finally, a big clap offering to God! If this Office is what He desires, He will continue to support it even without human hands.

Bridging Light Updates!

Hey people,

Did you see the news last weekend regarding the Thai riots? It's a pretty touchy and heart breaking situation. People are being hurt left and right. In Singapore, we are experiencing the peace that not every country is experiencing at the moment. Last week, during the Young Adults cell group, we were sharing about the different persecutions that are going on in different countries. In India, it's a must for people who are wanting to convert to Christianity to write a report to the police saying that they are converting of their own will. In Malaysia, some states are more pro-Christian. In Singapore, we are being persecuted for wanting to go to church more then going out with our friends and not believing in abortion. What about you? What sort of persecutions are you facing in your workplace or studies?
