Hey people,

Lent begins this week with the start of Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday, the priest rub ashes on our forehead with the words "Turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel." a reminder of our baptismal promises to reject sin. It calls us to conversion, to move away from sin and towards Christ. Lent is a period of conversion! Are you once again ready to move towards Christ?

1) Lent cell - Join us in this week's 1st session of Lent. Rediscover the Temptations of Jesus through a short activity, Bible and small group sharing. 8.30pm, The Lighthouse, 27 March.

2) There Will be Blood movie screening - The movie follows the rise and fall of a ruthless oil tycoon who fleeces a poor central California family of their land, and eventually finds himself pitted against one of the family's sons, a charismatic preacher. A movie that forces us to re-examine our choices: God or money? 8.00pm, The Lighthouse, 28 March. Bring a friend and a pkt of chips along:)

3) Tuition group - Tuition starts again this Sunday from 1pm - 3pm in the Lighthouse. Interested to help or to join? Email back or call Joachim at 92394826.

3) Youth Alpha - There will be no Youth Alpha session this week due to the Youth Forum.

3) Evening for Youth - An evening of P&W and teaching! It's all happening on 28 March in St Ignatius Church! Interested participants can please email back or call Joachim @ 92394826 to register.

Last but not least, we do not forget about Youth Forum 09! It's all happening in our parish's hall on 1st March, 11.45am to 3pm. One size does not fit all and so we present our different youth ministries, groups and activities to you! Includes food, music and sharing. Registration is free with door gifts! T-shirts are still on sale to raise funds for our activities and programs for 2009.
